Our primary objective for 2024 is to expand our efforts in sustainable sourcing. We understand the crucial role that responsibly harvested and reclaimed wood plays in environmental conservation. By focusing on salvaging wood from old structures and promoting ethical logging practices, we aim to reduce our ecological footprint and contribute to the preservation of our planet's forests.
2. A New Company for Diversification of Product Offerings
In 2024, we plan to diversify our product offerings to cater to a wider audience. From reclaimed wood flooring and decking to unique panelling solutions and custom furniture, Kaltimber is committed to providing a diverse range of sustainable wood products.
But we are soon to launch NatureAnexa, a new company and associated factory providing high-quality, sustainably sourced Ulin ironwood construction component solutions such as:
Interior Carpentry: wide array of interior elements, including wooden doors, windows, window frames, moldings, baseboards, stairs and balustrades.
Exterior Carpentry: exterior doors, gates, shutters, wooden façade cladding and pergolas.
Garden Products: our garden essentials including wooden fences, garden sheds, garden furniture, planters and trellises.
Construction Components: such as prefabricated wooden elements, timber frames, beams, columns, rafters, joists, battens and wood panels. These components are the building blocks of sustainable construction.

3. Strengthening Partnerships with Local Communities
Community engagement is a vital aspect of our sustainability journey. This is how we assisted the TrashStock festival and their fight against plastic pollution in Bali, and Friends of the National Parks Foundation with our ironwood tree planting program (600 trees planted in 2023, updated per January 1st, 2024). In 2024, we aim to strengthen our partnerships with everyone we work with. By collaborating with these communities, we can ensure that our activities have a positive impact on the social and economic well-being of the people involved.
4. Implementation of Cutting-Edge Technologies
To enhance our efficiency and minimise waste, we are investing in cutting-edge technologies for wood processing and manufacturing. By adopting state-of-the-art equipment and sustainable practices, we aim to optimise our production processes, reduce energy consumption, and further minimise our environmental impact.
We are also doing R&D to reuse the sawdust, hence making sure that everything at Kaltimber, from offcuts (reused by I-Rewood) to the sawdust finds another life.
But great machines can’t be operated by poor staff. That’s why aside from ensuring fair employment practices,we provide weekly training for our staff to be the best of the best.
5. Education and Advocacy
Education is a powerful tool for change. In 2024, Kaltimber will continue to advocate for sustainable forestry practices and raise awareness about the importance of using reclaimed and recycled wood.
