5. Make a composite pile or bin. Compost bins have become a big fad throughout the globe over the last few years; and that is good. Compost bins lessens waste by reusing things you would normally throw after one use. They can actually save you significant amount of money and help your plants to become healthy. No need to buy expensive compost. You can create your own with things that are bound to your garbage can. If you garden at all, it does not make sense not producing a compost bin. Make your own now!
6. Buy the proper light bulb. We are not telling you to run out today and replace your entire set of light (but you can haha) bulb even though they are still working. However, next time your light bulbs gets busted, replace it with more eco-friendly type. Led lights got really cheap and since they will last longer, you save electricity, which will lead to both financial savings and environmental benefits. On the plus side (well...another one!), they are also brighter!
7. Select Cloth over paper. Instead of going to the store and buying tons of rolls of paper tissues, save up on old shirt or other forms of clothing and utilize it as a rug. Since you would thrash it out anyway, it is a win-win situation because you will save money and help the planet at the same time. Gather all your used rags in a container together and wash them. Just use the eco-friendly mantra; re-use, wash, repeat.
8. Decrease the use of energy at your home. There are tons of ways of cutting down the use of energy at home. This will translate to smaller electric bills and more money in your piggy bank. 9. Recycle wood as much as possible. Reclaimed wood can is the process of "resurrecting" disuses structures like barns, boats, etc, and recycle them into new products such as decking and flooring. Reclaimed wood can be an excellent eco-friendly interior and exterior design in your home and can give new meaning and purpose. 10. Walk and cycle more: Taking the car is often very convenient, but we won't teach you anything about their negative environmental impact. Whenever possible, take a walk or your bicycle to get to the nearest convenience store! Not only you will minimize your CO2 emissions, but you will get to be healthier thanks to the additional exercise!
There are many ways you can help save ourselves. However small it is, do it because it will accumulate into a significant change, for the better.
